Crypto Firm Grapples with Self-Doubt
A confused crypto firm, Xnect, hoped to participate in Changpeng Zhao’s “pay-to-reach” project but now faces uncertainty after Zhao chose a rival firm, Reachme.io.
Xnect had already collaborated with the BNB Chain team on a launch plan and received acknowledgment as a pioneering protocol. However, Zhao’s announcement on X to partner with Reachme.io surprised Xnect, making them question their own viability.
Earlier, Zhao revealed he wanted to charge $120 for contact but was dissatisfied with the message quality. In light of Zhao’s decision, Xnect expressed they were taken aback and felt their contribution was undervalued, referring to the rival project as immature yet stating their concerns were not complaints but a request for feedback.
Zhao responded by clarifying that the competition was not intentional and expressed regret for not communicating sooner, while noting he has no control over which teams pursue similar ideas. He also referenced Xnect’s approach by mentioning he doesn’t install extensions, hinting at Xnect’s Chrome extension basis for their project. In light of this, Xnect announced they are developing a web version.
