Mexico stocks higher at close of trade; S&P/BMV IPC up 1.08%

    Mexico Stock Market Update

    Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, with gains in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services, and Consumer Staples sectors leading shares higher.

    At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC added 1.08%.

    Top Performers

    The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were:
    Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B (BMV:GAPB): +5.95% or 22.30 points to trade at 397.20.
    Arca Continental, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:AC): +5.56% or 9.81 points to end at 186.40.
    Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (BMV:OMAB): +3.80% or 6.46 points to 176.49.

    Worst Performers

    The worst performers of the session were:
    Grupo Elektra, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:ELEKTRA): -6.60% or 17.60 points to trade at 249.20.
    Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (BMV:LABB): -1.55% or 0.42 points to end at 26.59.
    Grupo Financiero Banorte (BMV:GFNORTEO): -1.41% or 2.01 points to 140.49.

    Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 122 to 99, with 20 ending unchanged.

    Noteworthy Movements:
    – Shares in Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B reached all-time highs, up 5.95%.
    – Shares in Grupo Elektra, S.A.B. De C.V. fell to 5-year lows, down 6.60%.

    Commodities Update

    • EUR/MXN rose 0.24% to 21.39.

    The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.55% at 105.71.
