Japan Stock Market Update

Investing.com – Japan stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, with gains in the Pharmaceutical Industry, Automobiles & Parts, and Precision Instruments sectors leading shares up.

At market close in Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 gained 0.60%.

  1. TOTO Ltd. (TYO:5332): –12.61% or 621.00 points to trade at 4,303.00.
  2. Tokuyama Corp. (TYO:4043): –3.68% or 100.50 points to end at 2,630.00.
  3. Chugai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (TYO:4519): –1.74% or 137.00 points to 7,718.00.

Market Statistics

  • Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tokyo Stock Exchange by 2770 to 830 with 247 unchanged.
  • The Nikkei Volatility, measuring implied volatility of Nikkei 225 options, fell 19.54% to 25.86.
