Japan Sept jobless rate falls to 2.4%, job availability widens

Japan's Jobless Rate Decline

TOKYO (Reuters) – Japan's jobless rate in September fell to 2.4% from 2.5% in August, according to government data released on Tuesday.

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was better than economists' median forecast of 2.5%.

Additionally, the jobs-to-applicants ratio in September slightly increased to 1.24 from 1.23 in August, as per separate labour ministry data. The median forecast for this ratio was 1.23.
