Leadership Change in German Greens

BERLIN (Reuters) – The joint leaders of the German Greens, Omid Nouripour and Ricarda Lang, announced their decision to step aside. This paves the way for new leadership to be elected at the next party congress.

This decision follows a string of significant election defeats experienced by the party, which is a member of Social Democrat Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s coalition.
