Fetch.ai Inc. Launches ASI-1 Mini

Fetch.ai Inc., a founding member of the Artificial Superintelligence (ASI) Alliance, has launched ASI-1 Mini, the first Web3-native large language model (LLM) designed to enhance autonomous agent workflows, as reported to Finbold on February 25.

The model, powered by the FET token through ASI wallet integration, initiates the ASI: initiative, aimed at democratizing access to foundational AI technologies and enabling users to invest in, train, and own their own models.

As part of a tiered freemium model, the AI model is now accessible to FET holders.

ASI-1 Mini Features

ASI-1 Mini offers four reasoning modes — Multi-Step, Complete, Optimized, and Short Reasoning — promising advanced adaptive reasoning and context-aware decision-making.

Humayun Sheikh, CEO of Fetch.ai and chairman of the ASI Alliance, stated:

Unlike traditional monolithic models, ASI-1 Mini dynamically selects specialized AI models optimized for specific tasks. The system comprises a foundational intelligence layer (ASI-1 Mini), a specialized model marketplace (MoM Marketplace), and a network of action-driven agents, enhancing execution capabilities across various applications.

High GPU Efficiency

ASI-1 Mini aims to deliver enterprise-grade AI performance using just two GPUs.

Benchmark results indicate significant hardware efficiency (up to 8x), reduced infrastructure costs, and improved scalability. ASI-1 Mini has also matched or outperformed leading AI models in areas like medical sciences, history, and business analytics.

In the near future, the model will feature an extended context window, processing up to ten million tokens, an increase from the initial support of one million.

Addressing the Black-Box Problem

ASI-1 Mini addresses the black-box problem in AI. Traditional models often provide outputs without explaining the reasoning behind them. In contrast, ASI-1 employs multi-step reasoning for real-time self-correction and enhanced decision-making transparency, vital for precision-dependent sectors like healthcare.
