Brazil Stock Market Update

Investing.com – Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumption, and Real Estate sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa declined 0.81%.

Top Performers

The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were:
Sendas Distribuidora SA (BVMF:ASAI3): rose 2.40% or 0.23 points to trade at 9.80 at the close.
3R Petroleum Oleo E Gas Sa (BVMF:RRRP3): added 1.97% or 0.52 points to end at 26.89.
IRB Brasil Resseguros SA (BVMF:IRBR3): was up 1.94% or 0.94 points to 49.32 in late trade.

Worst Performers

The worst performers of the session were:
Azul SA Pref (BVMF:AZUL4): fell 18.18% or 0.98 points to trade at 4.41 at the close.
BRF SA (BVMF:BRFS3): declined 6.02% or 1.58 points to end at 24.65.
Marfrig Alimentos SA (BVMF:MRFG3): down 4.26% or 0.62 points to 13.94.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 471 to 408, with 48 unchanged.

Notable Mentions

Shares in Azul SA Pref (BVMF:AZUL4) fell to all-time lows, dropping 18.18% or 0.98 to 4.41.

The CBOE Brazil ETF Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 1.67% to 26.45.
