Solana Futures ETFs Listed
Two Solana futures ETFs from Volatility Shares have been listed by the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) under the tickers SOLT and SOLZ. According to NASDAQ, DTCC is a financial company registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that clears, settles, stores, and processes information about securities transactions. It ensures that after a trade is made, money and assets reach their recipients correctly and safely.
Volatility Shares filed to launch three Solana futures ETFs in late 2024, offering investors different leverage options: 1x, 2x, and −1x. The document states that the funds will invest in futures contracts traded on exchanges registered with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
In February 2025, the SEC officially accepted applications for spot Solana ETFs from Canary Capital, Bitwise, 21Shares, and VanEck. At the time of writing, Solana (SOL) is trading at $141.51.
