Vodafone and Digi Sign Agreement with Hellenic Telecommunications Organization

LONDON (Reuters) – Mobile group Vodafone (NASDAQ:VOD) and Romania-based operator Digi announced on Thursday that they have signed a memorandum of understanding with Hellenic Telecommunications Organization to purchase its subsidiary Telekom Romania Mobile (TKRM).

Vodafone indicated that under the terms of the agreement, it would acquire TKRM along with a significant portion of its assets, while Digi would also purchase some assets.

The British company mentioned that discussions are at an early stage and there is no certainty that a final deal will be reached.
