FAA Completes Safety Review of Southwest Airlines
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced on Wednesday the completion of its safety review of Southwest Airlines (NYSE:LUV), which began in July due to a series of concerning incidents.
The FAA stated that the review did not uncover any significant safety issues.
Southwest Airlines expressed gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate with the FAA, emphasizing both parties' commitment to safety.
The review was initiated after a Southwest flight in July flew at an unusually low altitude over Tampa Bay, Florida, among other flights that had raised safety questions.
