At the close in London, the Investing.com United Kingdom 100 declined 0.11%.

- Persimmon PLC (LON:PSN) fell 8.67% (-127.50 points) to 1,343.50.
- Intertek Group PLC (LON:ITRK) declined 4.72% (-224.00 points) to 4,518.00.
- Taylor Wimpey PLC (LON:TW) was down 4.09% (-5.95 points) to 139.65.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the London Stock Exchange by 933 to 910, with 617 ending unchanged.
Shares in Ashtead Group PLC rose to 52-week highs, Barclays PLC reached 5-year highs, and InterContinental Hotels Group PLC hit all-time highs.
