Turkey Stock Market Summary
Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Basic Metals, Transport, and Tourism sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 1.40%.
Best Performers
- Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ASELS): up 4.54% or 2.65 points to trade at 61.00.
- Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES): added 4.10% or 7.50 points to end at 190.50.
- Papilon Savunma Guvenlik Sistemleri (IS:PAPIL): up 2.03% or 1.50 points to 75.25.
Worst Performers
- Turkiye Halk Bankasi (IS:HALKB): fell 4.92% or 0.77 points to trade at 14.87.
- Besiktas Futbol Yatirimlari Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:BJKAS): declined 3.88% or 0.19 points to end at 4.71.
- Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN): down 3.83% or 0.82 points to 20.58.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 475 to 94, with 10 ending unchanged.
Commodity Prices
- Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.07% or 29.55 to $2,730.25 a troy ounce.
- Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.16% or 0.83 to hit $70.91 a barrel.
- December Brent oil contract also fell 1.16% or 0.88 to trade at $75.16 a barrel.
Currency Exchange Rates
- USD/TRY was up 0.18% to 34.30.
- EUR/TRY fell 0.02% to 37.02.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 104.27.
