Turkey Stocks Rise
Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, driven by gains in the Insurance, Electricity, and Leasing & Factoring sectors.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 2.13%.
Best Performers
The best performers on the BIST 100 included:
– Cw Enerji Muhendislik Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:CWENE): rose 10.00%, gaining 15.50 points to trade at 170.50.
– Smart Gunes Enerjisi Teknolojileri Arastirma Gelistirme Uretim Sanayi ve Ticaret (IS:SMRTG): increased 10.00%, or 3.40 points, ending at 37.40.
– Europower Enerji ve Otomasyon Teknolojileri Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:EUPWR): up 9.98%, or 2.58 points, to 28.42.
Worst Performers
The worst performers were:
– Borusan Yatirim ve Pazarlama AS (IS:BRYAT): fell 3.16%, losing 63.00 points to close at 1,930.00.
– Borusan Birlesik Boru Fabrikalari Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:BRSAN): down 1.54%, or 7.50 points, finishing at 479.00.
– ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS): declined 1.41%, or 0.08 points, to 5.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange 450 to 113, with 15 ending unchanged.
Commodities
- Gold Futures for December delivery rose 0.61%, or 16.70, to $2,755.60 a troy ounce.
- Crude oil for December delivery increased 2.37%, or 1.66, reaching $71.70 a barrel.
- December Brent oil contract rose 2.13%, or 1.58, trading at $75.87 a barrel.
Currency Movements
- USD/TRY was up 0.42% to 34.24.
- EUR/TRY rose 0.07% to 37.05.
- The US Dollar Index Futures dipped 0.01% at 103.82.
