Turkey Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, with gains in the Sports, Insurance, and Wood, Paper & Printing sectors leading the upward trend.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.77%.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 included:
– Turkiye Sigorta AS (IS:TURSG): +7.73% (1.19 points) to trade at 16.59.
– Yeo Teknoloji Enerji ve Endustri AS (IS:YEOTK): +6.18% (3.03 points) to end at 52.05.
– Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER): +5.14% (2.26 points) to close at 46.24.
Worst Performers
The worst performers included:
– Dogan Sirketler Grubu Holding AS (IS:DOHOL): -1.56% (0.24 points) to trade at 15.18.
– Papilon Savunma Guvenlik Sistemleri (IS:PAPIL): -1.42% (0.18 points) to end at 12.52.
– Altinay Savunma Teknolojileri AS (IS:ALTNY): -1.17% (1.00 points) to close at 84.35.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 369 to 194, with 23 stocks ending unchanged.
Commodities Update
- Gold Futures for February delivery decreased by 0.91% (24.24) to $2,629.66 a troy ounce.
- Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.79% (0.55) to $70.17 a barrel.
- March Brent oil contract increased 0.73% (0.53) to trade at $73.38 a barrel.
Currency Update
- USD/TRY increased 0.22% to 35.21.
- EUR/TRY rose 0.23% to 36.70.
- The US Dollar Index Futures decreased by 0.05% to 107.84.
