Turkey Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Transport, Non-Metal Mineral Products and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.09%.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were:
– ENKA Insaat ve Sanayi AS (IS:ENKAI): rose 3.90% or 1.84 points to trade at 49.08.
– Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS:CCOLA): added 3.31% or 1.95 points to end at 60.80.
– AG Anadolu Group Holding (IS:AGHOL): was up 2.88% or 9.25 points to 330.00.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session were:
– Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN): fell 4.71% or 0.94 points to trade at 19.01.
– Turkiye Halk Bankasi (IS:HALKB): declined 2.98% or 0.48 points to end at 15.65.
– Eczacibasi Yatirim Holding Ortakligi AS (IS:ECZYT): down 2.63% or 5.20 points to 192.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 286 to 266, with 23 ending unchanged.
Shares in ENKA Insaat ve Sanayi AS (IS:ENKAI) rose to all-time highs at 49.08, while Eczacibasi Yatirim Holding Ortakligi AS (IS:ECZYT) fell to 52-week lows at 192.60.
Commodity Prices
- Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.42% or 10.65 to $2,542.25 a troy ounce.
- Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.93% or 0.70 to $74.83 a barrel.
- The November Brent oil contract fell 0.99% or 0.78 to trade at $77.88 a barrel.
Currency Exchange Rates
- USD/TRY was up 0.17% to 34.06.
- EUR/TRY fell 0.42% to 37.90.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.41% at 100.87.
