Donald Trump to Speak at Digital Asset Summit

Donald Trump will speak at the Digital Asset Summit (DAS) in New York on March 20, marking a historic occasion as the first sitting U.S. president to attend a crypto conference.

Recently, Trump hosted the inaugural White House Crypto Summit. Despite some dissatisfaction from the crypto community, the event provided important updates regarding the US Bitcoin Reserve and the government’s approach to crypto regulation.

There are indications that Trump’s appearance may not be live, with speculation about a pre-recorded message. Nonetheless, this event signifies a milestone as the president will formally address a crypto conference.

FOX business journalist Eleanor Terrett reported that sources at the DAS Conference clarified Trump plans to livestream his address either today or tomorrow.

> “I’m told this may yet happen but could also be done via a taped recording,” she noted. Presidential schedules are often unpredictable, especially for such events.

The summit will gather prominent lawmakers like Representatives Ro Khanna and Tom Emmer, as well as industry leaders such as MicroStrategy’s Michael Saylor and Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse.

In a significant development, Garlinghouse disclosed that the SEC has dropped its appeal in the XRP lawsuit, representing a major win for Ripple and the crypto community.

The crypto market has shown signs of recovery this week after previous volatility. Additionally, the Federal Reserve has announced no immediate rate cuts but plans for two later this year, potentially impacting financial markets, including crypto.
