Tonkeeper Adds Support for HMSTR Token

The TON ecosystem non-custodial wallet Tonkeeper has integrated support for HMSTR, the new token from the popular Telegram-based web3 game Hamster Kombat.

This development enables users to pay TON transaction fees using HMSTR through Tonkeeper's Battery feature, which is designed to simplify transaction sending without complex user interfaces. According to Tonkeeper's Chief Strategy Officer, Daniel Cawrey, this feature will help users who receive HMSTR airdrops but do not possess TON tokens. Users can replenish their Tonkeeper Battery with crypto on TON, or via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Most Tonkeeper users are reported to be on Android, although the feature will launch on Oct. 1, following a reduction in HMSTR airdrop loads.

As of September 25, Tonkeeper boasts 34 million monthly active users and 8 million daily active users.

Hamster Kombat is a game where players manage a cryptocurrency exchange, primarily tapping images of hamsters to earn crypto. The game has attracted 300 million users as of August 6. Its developers planned the first airdrop for September 26, with 60% of the tokens allocated to players, as previously reported by The Block.
