Car Production in Thailand Drops Significantly
BANGKOK (Reuters) – Car production in Thailand dropped 17.37% in December from a year earlier to 104,878 units due to lower domestic sales and exports, according to the Federation of Thai Industries on Tuesday.
This decline follows November’s 28.23% year-on-year fall, marking the 17th straight month of contraction in production.
Thailand serves as Southeast Asia’s largest automobile production center and is an export base for some of the world’s leading car manufacturers, including Toyota and Honda.
