Litecoin Available in Telegram Wallet
Litecoin is now accessible in the Wallet feature of Telegram, a crypto wallet that enables users to buy, sell, and transfer cryptocurrencies within the app.
On March 24, 2025, the Litecoin Foundation announced that Litecoin (LTC), ranking as the 24th largest cryptocurrency globally with a market cap of $7.1 billion, is now available in Telegram Wallet.
This integration allows LTC to join other prominent cryptocurrencies, making it potentially accessible to 1 billion monthly active Telegram users.
According to the announcement, non-U.S. users can buy and sell LTC via Telegram’s non-custodial wallet, alongside Bitcoin (BTC), Toncoin (TON), and Tether (USDT). The wallet also supports various gaming tokens.
However, at this stage, external transfers of Litecoin to or from the wallet are not permitted, meaning users cannot transfer LTC outside of the Telegram ecosystem.
The inclusion of Litecoin in Telegram’s wallet comes as the platform gains traction in the cryptocurrency realm. Innovations like tap-to-earn games and mini-app support on the TON Blockchain are enhancing Telegram’s standing in the market.
The Litecoin Foundation expressed that “the integration of Litecoin into Telegram is a remarkable advancement in blending messaging and cryptocurrency,” positioning Telegram as a leader in innovative financial solutions for users.
Recently, the Wallet in Telegram announced plans to support hundreds of cryptocurrencies, including popular meme coins. Users of TON and USDT will also have opportunities to earn passive rewards.
In a bid to encourage user adoption, Telegram is offering free Litecoin purchases without fees for the first seven days for those exploring Litecoin through the wallet app.
