Taiwan Stock Market Update

Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Other Electronic, Computers & Peripherals, and Financials sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted gained 0.81%.

Best Performers

– HannsTouch Solution Inc (TW:3049): added 9.95% or 1.10 points to end at 12.15.
– Kaulin Mfg (TW:1531): was up 9.86% or 1.45 points to 16.15 in late trade.

Worst Performers

The worst performers of the session were:
– Lead Data Inc (TW:2443): fell 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 at the close.
– Leadtek Research Inc (TW:2465): declined 9.70% or 8.10 points to end at 75.40.
– JPC Connectivity Inc (TW:6197): was down 9.24% or 16.50 points to 162.00.

Shares in Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101) rose to 3-year highs, rising 350.24% or 7.39 to 9.50. Shares in Kaulin Mfg (TW:1531) also reached 3-year highs, rising 9.86% or 1.45 to 16.15.

Commodity Prices

• Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.08% or 0.06 to $71.41 a barrel.
• Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.07% or 0.05 to hit $75.03 a barrel.
• The December Gold Futures contract fell 0.20% or 5.40 to trade at $2,740.80 a troy ounce.

Currency Exchange

• USD/TWD was up 0.12% to 31.97.
• TWD/CNY was unchanged at 0.22.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 103.81.
