STEPN GO and adidas Launch Co-Branded Running Shoes

Sydney, Australia, December 5th, 2024, Chainwire

Social-lifestyle app STEPN GO is excited to announce a significant milestone in its partnership with adidas: the launch of the first-ever co-branded physical running shoes featuring the STEPN GO logo. This follows a successful collaboration year that included the release of the STEPN GO x adidas Genesis NFT Sneakers.

Now, the partnership transitions from the digital sphere to tangible products, showcasing a limited-edition collection of 1,200 adidas Ultraboost 5 running shoes.

This marks the latest phase of the STEPN GO and adidas collaboration that began in April 2024 with the launch of the STEPN Genesis NFT collection. Following excitement generated by NFT drops, the introduction of STEPN GO x adidas Ultraboost 5 emphasizes the innovative combination of digital and real-world fashion.

The limited-edition STEPN GO x adidas Ultraboost 5 running shoes will be available starting December 13, exclusively on the MOOAR marketplace. This offering is reserved for holders of the STEPN and STEPN GO x adidas Genesis Sneakers, reflecting adidas' commitment to innovation and physical movement.

With only 1,200 shoes available, this drop combines adidas' performance excellence with the active lifestyle ethos of STEPN GO.

> “The launch of physical shoes is a defining moment in our partnership with adidas,” says Shiti Manghani, CEO of STEPN by FSL. “We’ve evolved from digital collectibles to tangible products, demonstrating the progress of the Web3 space. This collaboration merges fitness, digital assets, and real-world products.”

> “We’re thrilled to create new digital experiences for runners,” says Erika Wykes-Sneyd, VP and GM of adidas /// studio. “This collaboration not only enhances engagement with fitness but introduces rewarding experiences that blur the lines between the physical and digital worlds.”

Since the Public Beta Launch of STEPN GO in September 2024, the platform’s Haus System has become a key feature, allowing users to lend their Sneakers, share Energy and earnings, and onboard new users into Web3 without needing a wallet. This accessibility enhances STEPN GO's community-focused innovation.

Raffles for the STEPN GO x adidas Ultraboost 5 running shoes will occur from December 13 to December 17, featuring four separate raffles. Advantage will be given to STEPN and STEPN GO x adidas Genesis NFT holders, while broader participation will be encouraged through a contest on X and raffles exclusive to the ALTS by adidas and STEPN Apps communities.

Winners can claim their shoes between January 6 to January 22, following a three-week trading period for ticket purchasing on the secondary market. The collection includes four limited edition co-branded styles, with colors randomly assigned to winners, adding an unexpected element.

The STEPN GO x adidas collaboration is a pivotal move in merging an active lifestyle with daily life, showcasing STEPN GO's innovative fitness technology. It positions the app as a leader in the Web3 ecosystem, redefining opportunities in the fitness space through a blend of digital and physical experiences.
