Spain Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Building & Construction, and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 lost 1.02%.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were:
– International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME:ICAG): rose 1.16% or 0.03 points to trade at 2.19.
– Telefonica (BME:TEF): added 0.43% or 0.02 points to end at 4.17.
– Redeia Corporacion SA (BME:REDE): up 0.29% or 0.05 points to 17.31 in late trade.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session were:
– ArcelorMittal SA (BME:MTS): fell 4.75% or 1.01 points to trade at 20.25.
– Banco de Sabadell SA (BME:SABE): declined 4.08% or 0.08 points to end at 1.87.
– Unicaja Banco SA (BME:UNI): down 3.20% or 0.04 points to 1.18.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 139 to 54, and 25 ended unchanged.
Shares in International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME:ICAG) reached 52-week highs, rising 1.16% or 0.03 to 2.19.
Commodities Update
- Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.36% or 9.00 to $2,518.60 a troy ounce.
- Crude oil for delivery in October fell 3.83% or 2.82 to hit $70.73 a barrel.
- November Brent oil contract fell 4.42% or 3.43 to trade at $74.09 a barrel.
Currency Update
- EUR/USD was unchanged 0.28% to 1.10.
- EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 101.76.
