Spain Stock Market Update

Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Monday, led by losses in the Financial Services, Real Estate, Building & Construction, and Telecoms & IT sectors.

At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 lost 0.70%.

Best Performers

The top performers on the IBEX 35 included:
Laboratorios Farmaceuticos ROVI (BME:ROVI): +1.18% (+0.90 points) to close at 77.00.
Repsol (BME:REP): +0.85% (+0.10 points) to finish at 11.82.
Industria de Diseno Textil SA (BME:ITX): +0.34% (+0.18 points) to end at 53.88.

Worst Performers

The worst performers of the session were:
Sacyr SA (BME:SCYR): -5.24% (-0.17 points) to trade at 3.11.
SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:SLRS): -3.23% (-0.35 points) to close at 10.50.
Inmobiliaria Colonial SA (BME:COL): -2.56% (-0.16 points) to finish at 5.89.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange, with 130 falling, 64 advancing, and 24 unchanged.

Commodities Overview

  • Gold Futures for December delivery rose 0.21% (+5.60) to $2,735.60 a troy ounce.
  • Crude Oil for December delivery increased 1.83% (+1.26) to $69.95 a barrel.
  • Brent Oil Contract for December rose 1.51% (+1.10) to $74.16 a barrel.

Currency Updates

  • EUR/USD remained unchanged at 1.08 (0.40%).
  • EUR/GBP was unchanged at 0.83 (0.11%).

The US Dollar Index Futures rose 0.43% to 103.75.
