Spain Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Telecoms & IT, and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 fell 0.51%.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were:
– Fluidra (BME:FLUI): rose 7.11% or 1.64 points to trade at 24.72 at the close.
– Unicaja Banco SA (BME:UNI): added 2.88% or 0.03 points to end at 1.14.
– Redeia Corporacion SA (BME:REDE): was up 2.73% or 0.45 points to 16.93 in late trade.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session were:
– Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME:ANE): fell 2.92% or 0.57 points to trade at 18.94.
– Indra A (BME:IDR): declined 2.76% or 0.46 points to end at 16.19.
– Acciona (BME:ANA): was down 2.49% or 3.00 points to 117.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 127 to 65, with 31 ending unchanged.
Shares in Fluidra (BME:FLUI) rose to 52-week highs, increasing 7.11% or 1.64 to 24.72.
Commodity Prices
- Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.75% or 48.95 to $2,751.85 a troy ounce.
- Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.70% or 0.48 to hit $69.09 a barrel.
- The January Brent oil contract rose 0.61% or 0.44 to trade at $72.60 a barrel.
Currency Exchange
- EUR/USD was unchanged at 1.09.
- EUR/GBP rose 0.80% to 0.84.
- The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 104.02.
