Spain Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Telecoms & IT, and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.97%.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were:
– Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA (BME:BBVA): +3.19% (0.29 points), trading at 9.38.
– Acciona (BME:ANA): +3.09% (3.50 points), ending at 116.70.
– SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:SLRS): +3.04% (0.30 points), closing at 10.18.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session were:
– Laboratorios Farmaceuticos ROVI (BME:ROVI): -5.06% (3.30 points), trading at 61.90.
– Grifols SA (BME:GRLS): -1.51% (0.17 points), ending at 11.13.
– Cellnex Telecom SA (BME:CLNX): -1.03% (0.33 points), closing at 31.68.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 118 to 76, with 21 ending unchanged.
Commodities Update
- Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.22% (5.60) to $2,567.30 a troy ounce.
- Crude oil for December fell 1.75% (1.20) to $67.50 a barrel.
- January Brent oil contract fell 1.50% (1.09) to trade at $71.47 a barrel.
Currency Update
- EUR/USD remained unchanged at 1.06.
- EUR/GBP also remained unchanged at 0.84.
- US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 106.52.
