Spain stocks experienced an uptick as of Thursday's close, driven by gains in the Building & Construction, Telecoms & IT, and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors.
At the close of the Madrid exchange, the IBEX 35 index increased by 0.33%.
Top Performers
- Sacyr SA (BME:SCYR): rose 1.96% (+0.06 points) to 3.12.
- Banco de Sabadell SA (BME:SABE): gained 1.64% (+0.03 points) to 1.86.
- Ferrovial (BME:FER): increased 1.20% (+0.48 points) to 40.54.
Worst Performers
- Fluidra (BME:FLUI): dropped 0.92% (-0.22 points) to 23.72.
- SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:SLRS): declined 0.37% (-0.03 points) to 8.01.
- Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA (BME:BBVA): fell 0.32% (-0.03 points) to 9.27.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
Note: Shares in SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:SLRS) hit three-year lows.

- Gold Futures for February delivery rose 0.49% (+12.81) to $2,648.31 per troy ounce.
- Crude Oil for February fell 0.17% (-0.12) to $69.98 per barrel.
- Brent Oil for March dropped 0.15% (-0.11) to $73.06 per barrel.
Currency Exchange Rates
- EUR/USD remained unchanged at 1.04.
- EUR/GBP also held steady at 0.83.
- The US Dollar Index Futures decreased by 0.12% to 107.89.
