Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Financial Services & Real Estate and Building & Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 gained 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Acerinox (BME:ACX), which rose 2.50% or 0.23 points to trade at 9.23 at the close. Meanwhile, Puig Brands SA (BME:PUIGb) added 1.72% or 0.32 points to end at 18.93 and Bankinter (BME:BKT) was up 1.47% or 0.11 points to 7.74 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:SLRS), which fell 2.28% or 0.20 points to trade at 8.57 at the close. Cellnex Telecom SA (BME:CLNX) declined 1.65% or 0.53 points to end at 31.53 and Inmobiliaria Colonial SA (BME:COL) was down 1.60% or 0.09 points to 5.53.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 103 to 93 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:SLRS) fell to 3-years lows; losing 2.28% or 0.20 to 8.57.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.54% or 14.45 to $2,666.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.32% or 0.91 to hit $69.66 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 1.22% or 0.89 to trade at $73.70 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.67% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 107.04.
