Shytoshi Kusama Responds to Criticism of Shiba Inu
The enigmatic lead developer of the Shiba Inu team, known under the pseudonym Shytoshi Kusama, recently reacted to a tweet questioning his assertion that SHIB has surpassed Bitcoin in value growth.
Kusama Responds to "Disrespect" for SHIB
Nick Tomaino, founder of the 1confirmation investment firm, tweeted a list of seven impactful crypto projects, which included Bitcoin but did not mention Shiba Inu, referring to it as a potential "chump change meme."
In response, Kusama expressed his frustration: "Again, the disrespect… smh #SHIB." Previously, he had commented on a post by user @Vivek4real_X, which claimed Bitcoin was the best-performing asset of the last decade.
Kusama claimed, "SHIB has already done better than Bitcoin by 66x. No disrespect, BTC is the GOAT, but I am just saiyan." He also highlighted that SHIB has showed significant growth since its all-time low in September 2020, boasting a staggering 33,774,726.7% increase, outperforming major competitors like DOGE and SOL.
SHIB Not "Chump Change Meme," per Kusama
In the same discussion, a SHIB supporter mentioned that until the price of SHIB rises above $0.01, it would likely continue to be dismissed. To this, Kusama replied, "Top 10 isn’t chump change… Those who are wise give us respect. 'Crypto Twitter' just hasn't DYOR." Despite this, SHIB faced a 4% decline in value and is currently ranked 12th according to CoinMarketCap, having fallen out of the top 10.
