K9 Finance Receives $200,000 Google Grant

K9 Finance announced that it has received a $200,000 grant from the Google for Startups program. This grant provides free access to Google Cloud services instead of direct cash, allowing the K9 development team to utilize Google Cloud infrastructure, security features, and AI tools at no cost.

In addition to free services, the team believes the grant will enhance its long-term position by fostering partnerships, sustainability, and integration. They see this as a chance to establish K9 Finance as a significant player in Shibarium and the broader crypto ecosystem. Shiba Inu’s head of marketing, Lucie, celebrated the grant, highlighting it as a major milestone that opens new opportunities.

K9 Finance serves as Shiba Inu’s official liquid staking partner, enabling users to stake BONE via its Bonecrusher dApp while maintaining liquidity of their tokens. Currently, K9 has a total value locked (TVL) of $562,035 according to DeFiLlama, which represents a 75.24% decline from its peak TVL of $2.27 million on December 12, 2024.
