Shardeum Progresses Roadmap to Mainnet Launch
New York, New York, October 1st, 2024, Chainwire
Shardeum continues to make strides in its roadmap, announcing the launch of Stage 3 of its Incentivized Testnet (ITN), Atomium, starting October 1st, 2024. Stage 3 aims to enhance community engagement by inviting users to identify bugs, vulnerabilities, and performance issues before the Mainnet launch.
This announcement follows the successful completion of the first two ITN stages, which engaged over 540,000 users, including more than 11,000 validators, and facilitated over 5 million transactions. Stage 3 will also coincide with Shardeum’s second bug bounty program, aimed at stress-testing the network for final issues.
Expected to last 3 to 4 weeks, Stage 3 reflects advanced maturity in the Testnet. Community participation has been crucial in refining and stabilizing the network.
The Stage 3 quest campaign allows users to thoroughly test various on-chain activities and validator functions, offering potential rewards such as SHM airdrops, XP (NASDAQ:XP), NFTs, and more.
> Chris Chabot, Head of Developer Relations at Shardeum, states: “This is a remarkable milestone, and we’re excited to see Mainnet on the horizon. Our developers and the entire team at Shardeum have dedicated countless hours to bringing every step of our roadmap to life, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their hard work. As we push forward toward Mainnet, we look forward to sharing an exciting update once ITN Stage 3 is complete.”
Stage 3 will feature referral programs, social tasks, rewards challenges, and engaging voting and quiz games to maximize community involvement. Note that rewards can only be earned through quest tasks outlined on the official testnet campaign page.
