Saudi Arabia Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Energy & Utilities, Financial Services, and Building & Construction sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 0.57%.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were:
– Savola Group (TADAWUL:2050): rose 9.97% or 3.35 points to trade at 36.95.
– Middle East Specialized Cables Co (TADAWUL:2370): added 5.14% or 2.05 points to end at 41.90.
– Arabian Centres Co (TADAWUL:4321): was up 3.94% or 0.82 points to 21.62 in late trade.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session were:
– Fitaihi Holding Group (TADAWUL:4180): fell 6.68% or 0.29 points to trade at 4.05.
– Arabian Contracting Services Company CJSC (TADAWUL:4071): declined 4.17% or 6.80 points to end at 156.40.
– AYYAN Investment Co SJSC (TADAWUL:2140): was down 3.87% or 0.58 points to 14.42.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 233 to 84, and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Savola Group (TADAWUL:2050) rose to 5-year highs; up 9.97% or 3.35 to 36.95.
Commodities Update
Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.20% or 0.85 to $69.73 a barrel.
Elsewhere in commodities trading:
– Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.40% or 0.29 to hit $73.10 a barrel.
– February Gold Futures contract fell 1.18% or 31.19 to trade at $2,622.11 a troy ounce.
Currency Update
- EUR/SAR was up 0.40% to 3.91.
- USD/SAR was unchanged at 3.76.
- US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 107.68.
