Russian Court Fines Google
MOSCOW (Reuters) – A Russian district court fined Alphabet (NASDAQ: GOOGL)'s Google 3.8 million roubles ($38,057) on Monday for failing to remove banned content.
Russia has been enforcing laws for several years, requiring foreign technology platforms to remove content classified as illegal. The government has issued small but consistent fines for non-compliance.
