Polkadot's OriginTrail Wins Best Project at MIT Decentralized AI Summit
Investing.com – Polkadot-powered decentralized knowledge graph platform, OriginTrail, was named the best project at the MIT Decentralized AI Summit. This event brought together researchers and industry leaders to discuss decentralized AI technologies.
The summit took place at the MIT Media Lab and featured contributions from major tech companies including Dell (NYSE:DELL), Intel (NASDAQ:INTC), and NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA). OriginTrail was praised for its decentralized knowledge graph, which addresses issues like misinformation and unreliable AI systems.
Backed by Polkadot parachains, OriginTrail assists industries, including Fortune 500 companies, with secure data exchange, handling billions of assets for Web3. The platform simplifies the discovery and verification of everything from physical and digital assets to NFTs and DeFi.
Branimir Rakic, the founder of OriginTrail, explained how the platform fosters trust in AI systems by connecting physical and digital assets through decentralized technology, enhancing data transparency across industries.
Rakic announced the upcoming release of the DKG Edge node, aimed at improving resource efficiency and privacy in AI solutions, scheduled for October 24 at the DKGcon event in Amsterdam.
The Verifiable Internet for AI is addressing AI's challenges by decentralizing the knowledge that AI systems depend on. One notable example is Polkabot.AI, a decentralized AI education hub on Polkadot set to launch fully in the coming months, having secured support from the Polkadot Treasury.
During the third quarter, Polkadot spent $27.3 million on various projects, nearly half of what Ethereum rival invested previously. Nearly $12 million was allocated to software development projects.
Polkabot.ai received support via an OpenGov treasury proposal approved on April 23, 2024. As an AI-driven educational platform, Polkabot.AI personalizes learning experiences for users, engaging them with Polkadot’s extensive content within its ecosystem and external communications.
