Poland Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Information Technology, Energy, and Construction sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.07%.
Top Performers
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were:
– Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN) – rose 2.75% or 1.57 points to trade at 58.60.
– Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) – added 2.12% or 0.55 points to end at 26.55.
– Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) – up 1.88% or 0.38 points to 20.56.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session were:
– Enea SA (WA:ENAE) – fell 3.04% or 0.35 points to trade at 11.15.
– Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) – declined 2.65% or 0.26 points to end at 9.38.
– Pepco Group Nv (WA:PCOP) – down 2.49% or 0.50 points to 19.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 295 to 199, with 114 ending unchanged.
Commodities Update
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.73% or 0.51 to $70.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading:
– Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.64% or 0.47 to hit $74.03 a barrel.
– December Gold Futures contract fell 0.77% or 20.70 to trade at $2,669.60 a troy ounce.
Currency Updates
- EUR/PLN was up 0.23% to 4.29.
- USD/PLN rose 0.43% to 3.89.
- US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 101.33.
