Poland Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, with gains in the Oil & Gas, Energy, and Developers sectors leading shares upward.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 added 0.87%.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were:
– CCC SA (WA:CCCP): rose 11.37% or 19.80 points to trade at 194.00 at the close.
– PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA:PGE): added 6.23% or 0.41 points to end at 7.02.
– Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN): up 4.45% or 2.26 points to 53.10 in late trade.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session were:
– Allegro (WA:ALEP): fell 11.33% or 3.98 points to trade at 31.14 at the close.
– Eurocash SA (WA:EUR): declined 6.86% or 0.60 points to end at 8.07.
– KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH): down 2.46% or 3.30 points to 130.65.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 307 to 223, with 95 ending unchanged.
Shares in CCC SA (WA:CCCP) rose to 5-year highs, rising 11.37% or 19.80 to 194.00. Conversely, shares in Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) fell to 5-year lows, dropping 6.86% or 0.60 to 8.07.
Commodities Update
- Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.35% or 0.24 to $68.67 a barrel.
- Brent oil for January rose 0.30% or 0.22 to hit $72.50 a barrel.
- Meanwhile, December Gold Futures fell 0.19% or 4.95 to trade at $2,581.55 a troy ounce.
Currency Update
- EUR/PLN was down 0.34% to 4.32.
- USD/PLN fell 0.44% to 4.09.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 106.39.
