Poland Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Chemicals, and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 rose 0.44%.
Top Performers
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were:
– Pepco Group Nv (WA:PCOP) – Risen 2.07% or 0.41 points to trade at 20.17.
– Orange Polska SA (WA:OPL) – Increased 1.76% or 0.15 points to end at 8.42.
– Kruk SA (WA:KRU) – Gained 1.70% or 7.40 points to reach 443.40 in late trade.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session were:
– Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) – Fell 2.47% or 0.71 points to trade at 28.06.
– Enea SA (WA:ENAE) – Declined 2.06% or 0.23 points to end at 10.96.
– mBank SA (WA:MBK) – Down 1.05% or 6.20 points to 583.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 259 to 215, and 125 ended unchanged.
Commodities Update
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.21% or 0.89 to $74.60 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading:
– Brent oil for December rose 1.06% or 0.82 to hit $78.44 a barrel.
– December Gold Futures fell 0.09% or 2.50 to trade at $2,676.70 a troy ounce.
Currency Update
- EUR/PLN was up 0.22% to 4.32.
- USD/PLN rose 0.84% to 3.94.
The US Dollar Index Futures increased 0.57% at 102.33.
