Poland Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, with gains in the Chemicals, Energy, and Basic Materials sectors leading shares upwards.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 rose by 0.36%.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 included:
– Enea SA (WA:ENAE): rose 3.12% (0.32 points) to trade at 10.59.
– Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP): added 2.36% (0.41 points) to end at 17.78.
– Grupa KĘTY SA (WA:KTY): up 2.24% (17.00 points) to 776.00 in late trade.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session included:
– Text SA (WA:TXTP): fell 2.01% (1.60 points) to trade at 77.90.
– Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP): declined 1.85% (1.70 points) to end at 90.30.
– Powszechny Zaklad Ubezpieczen SA (WA:PZU): down 1.46% (0.69 points) to 46.64.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 279 to 206, with 124 unchanged.
Commodities Update
Crude oil for October delivery decreased by 2.60% (1.97) to $73.94 a barrel. In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery fell 2.07% (1.63) to $77.19 a barrel, while December Gold Futures contracts dropped 0.84% (21.55) to trade at $2,538.75 a troy ounce.
Currency Update
- EUR/PLN was unchanged at 4.28 (0.03%).
- USD/PLN rose by 0.14% to 3.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures increased by 0.27% to 101.55.
