Poland Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Banking, and Developers sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 gained 0.21%.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were:
– Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP): rose 2.66% or 0.53 points to trade at 20.46 at the close.
– Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE): added 2.34% or 0.08 points to end at 3.50.
– Bank Polska Kasa Opieki SA (WA:PEO): was up 1.88% or 2.70 points to 146.35 in late trade.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session were:
– KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH): fell 3.37% or 5.40 points to trade at 154.70 at the close.
– Benefit Systems SA (WA:BFT): declined 3.18% or 80.00 points to end at 2,435.00.
– Pepco Group Nv (WA:PCOP): was down 2.10% or 0.38 points to 17.68.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 279 to 211 and 108 ended unchanged.
Commodities Market
Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.18% or 0.85 to $70.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading:
– Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.16% or 0.88 to hit $75.16 a barrel.
– December Gold Futures contract fell 1.00% or 27.60 to trade at $2,732.20 a troy ounce.
Currency Update
- EUR/PLN was up 0.62% to 4.35.
- USD/PLN rose 0.76% to 4.03.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 104.26.
