Poland Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, with gains in the Basic Materials, Food, and Oil & Gas sectors leading the shares upward.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 index added 0.09%.
Best Performers
The top performers of the session on the WIG30 included:
– Benefit Systems SA (WA:BFT): rose 3.85% (+105.00 points) to trade at 2,830.00.
– KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH): increased by 3.69% (+4.75 points) to end at 133.40.
– Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS): up 2.34% (+0.35 points) to close at 15.09.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session were:
– CCC SA (WA:CCCP): fell 6.13% (-12.60 points) to trade at 193.00.
– CD PROJEKT SA (WA:CDR): declined 2.78% (-5.55 points) to end at 194.30.
– Eurocash SA (WA:EUR): down 2.14% (-0.17 points) to finish at 7.55.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 291 to 247, with 111 ending unchanged.
Shares in Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS) reached 52-week highs, rising 2.34% (+0.35) to 15.09, while Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) fell to 5-year lows, down 2.14% (-0.17) to 7.55.
Commodities Update
- Crude Oil for January delivery: up 2.19% (+1.47) to $68.67 a barrel.
- Brent Oil for February: rose 1.83% (+1.30) to hit $72.42 a barrel.
- Gold Futures (February): increased by 1.14% (+30.21) to trade at $2,689.81 per troy ounce.
Currency Exchange
- EUR/PLN remained unchanged at 4.26.
- USD/PLN decreased by 0.21% to 4.03.
- US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 105.62.
