Parallel League Championship 2025
Ethereum-based trading card game Parallel hosted its inaugural Parallel League Championship esports competition over the weekend. Professional Hearthstone player, Jaromír “Jarla” Vyskočil, clinched the first prize, earning $100,000.
The two-day event took place at HyperX Arena in Las Vegas, featuring 16 top Parallel players competing for a total prize pool of $250,000. Players qualified through a six-month competitive league, earning points via in-game tournaments, ladder matches, and major tournaments.

On Day 1, Parallel unveiled a trailer for an upcoming third-person extraction shooter titled Parallel: Sanctuary, previously codenamed Project Tau Ceti. This game is built on B3, a layer-3 gaming network on Base—Coinbase’s Ethereum layer-2 network.
By Sunday’s end, only four competitors remained: Sparkling, former Hearthstone pro Jimon, Colombian player Zeliaser, and Jarla. Jarla boasted the most prominent esports background among the finalists, having finished fifth in the 2022 Hearthstone World Championship.
The coveted Parallel Championship trophy, an impressive creation that plays a vinyl record of the game’s theme song, took two months to craft.

On Day 2, Parallel Studios announced the launch of a mobile app for their trading card game – GG’s 2023 game of the year – set for release on March 18 for both iOS and Android, currently available on Windows PC.
Once competition resumed, Zeliaser eliminated Sparkling, and Jarla achieved a clean 3-0 sweep against Jimon. This set up a crucial match between Zeliaser and Jimon, with Zeliaser winning 3-1 to advance to the finals.
Jarla’s domination continued with another sweep in the final, defeating Zelaisor and taking home $100,000. Runners-up shared $150,000 at the weekend competition.

Parallel is a trading card game that began open beta in February 2024 and launched on the Epic Games Store. The studio is building an esports scene to attract players from Hearthstone, Magic: The Gathering, and other popular competitive card games.
Notably, Hearthstone pro, Thijs “Thijs” Molendijk, announced his support for Parallel, causing some controversy in the Hearthstone community for endorsing a crypto game. He defended Parallel and the blockchain gaming model, and participated in the Prime Championship, placing 9th-12th.
With ambitions high, Parallel Studios has pledged $1 million in total prize money for the upcoming second season of the Parallel League, kicking off this Thursday, with $2 million planned for a third season in 2026.
