Web3 Investor Santiago Roel Santos Launches Inversion Capital

Web3 investor Santiago Roel Santos believes that giving traditional businesses a crypto makeover can enhance their operations, making them more efficient and cost-effective.

Formerly a partner at ParaFi Capital, Santos has launched a new private equity fund named Inversion Capital. This fund aims to acquire traditional businesses that can benefit from adopting crypto mechanisms to improve their business models.

Santos points out that many businesses face coordination issues that lead to higher operating costs, capital expenditures, or worsened unit economics. He noted that the reluctance of business owners to embrace crypto does not hinder their approach, as Inversion Capital plans to acquire the businesses outright rather than act as an investment partner.

Santos remarked, "There are many great businesses that have reached a plateau and are prime candidates to undergo a business model transformation. You’re already seeing that with DePIN."

Although Santos did not provide details on the fund's fundraising goals or any initial acquisition targets, he emphasized the potential of crypto as a new operating system that can help businesses operate faster, better, and cheaper. He concluded by stating, "This is how we accelerate."
