Palantir Technologies and Anduril Industries Partner for AI in Defense

(Reuters) – Data analytics firm Palantir Technologies (NASDAQ:PLTR) and defense tech company Anduril Industries have announced a partnership focused on using defense data for artificial intelligence training.

The collaboration will leverage Palantir’s AI platform to structure, label, and prepare defense data for training, aiming to deploy these models into national security systems. Anduril will support the retention and distribution of government defense data.

As various sectors increasingly pivot toward AI for workflow automation, its application within defense remains in the early stages due to the sensitive nature of the training data required.

The companies stated, "U.S. companies are developing world-leading models but struggling to deploy them at scale with government partners for defense applications."

This partnership comes shortly after Anduril announced a collaboration with OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT, to develop advanced AI solutions for national security missions.

Founded in 2017, Anduril provides autonomous solutions across various defense operations and has experience in automating robotic systems in tactical environments.

Palantir, a significant beneficiary of the GenAI boom, has experienced strong government spending and increasing demand for its software services from businesses seeking technology adoption.
