Norwegian Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Media, Transport, and Diversified Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.97% to hit a new 1-month low.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were:
– Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM): rose 2.82% or 4.10 points to trade at 149.60.
– Nel ASA (OL:NEL): added 2.19% or 0.06 points to end at 2.99.
– Telenor ASA (OL:TEL): up 1.50% or 1.90 points to 128.40 in late trade.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session were:
– Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:HAUTO): fell 4.27% or 4.50 points to trade at 100.80.
– Hafnia Ltd (OL:HAFNI): declined 4.05% or 2.40 points to end at 56.90.
– SalMar ASA (OL:SALM): down 3.36% or 19.50 points to 561.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 196 to 82, with 24 ending unchanged.
Shares in Hafnia Ltd (OL:HAFNI) fell to 52-week lows, down 4.05% or 2.40 to 56.90.
Commodities Update
Crude oil for January delivery was down 2.57% or 1.82 to $68.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading:
– Brent oil for February fell 1.87% or 1.38 to hit $72.53.
– February Gold Futures contract fell 0.59% or 15.69 to trade at $2,654.31 a troy ounce.
Currency Update
- EUR/NOK was up 0.45% to 11.76.
- USD/NOK rose 0.52% to 11.20.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 106.60.
