Norway’s Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Media, Transport, and Diversified Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.20%.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were:
– TGS NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS): +4.69% (4.50 points) to trade at 100.50
– Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO): +2.69% (6.80 points) to end at 259.70
– SalMar ASA (OL:SALM): +2.39% (13.00 points) to 558.00 in late trade.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session were:
– Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY): -2.01% (1.38 points) to trade at 67.32
– Telenor ASA (OL:TEL): -1.76% (2.40 points) to end at 133.60
– Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD): -1.57% (1.56 points) to 97.64.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 149 to 119 and 35 ended unchanged.
Commodities
Crude oil for November delivery was up 3.82% (2.68) to $72.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading:
– Brent oil for December rose 3.45% (2.55) to hit $76.45 a barrel.
– December Gold Futures contract rose 0.07% (1.75) to trade at $2,671.45 a troy ounce.
Currency Exchange Rates
- EUR/NOK was up 0.28% to 11.71.
- USD/NOK rose 0.62% to 10.63.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 101.79.
