Norway stocks higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.86%

Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.86% to hit a new all time high.

The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Yara International ASA (OL:YAR), which rose 3.44% or 11.30 points to trade at 339.60 at the close. Meanwhile, TGS NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) added 3.41% or 3.50 points to end at 106.00 and Borr Drilling Ltd (OL:BORR) was up 2.94% or 1.50 points to 52.55 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS), which fell 11.76% or 1.33 points to trade at 9.96 at the close. Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL:KOG) declined 2.14% or 25.00 points to end at 1,143.00 and Nel ASA (OL:NEL) was down 1.83% or 0.09 points to 4.61.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 155 to 112 and 37 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.07% or 0.75 to $70.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.04% or 0.77 to hit $75.15 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.09% or 2.50 to trade at $2,751.40 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was down 0.11% to 11.83, while USD/NOK fell 0.06% to 10.93.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 103.90.
