Netherlands Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Financials, and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 1.49% to hit a new 3-month low.
Top Performers
The best performers of the session on the AEX were:
– BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI): rose 3.54% or 3.90 points to trade at 114.15 at the close.
– ASM International NV (AS:ASMI): added 1.47% or 7.60 points to end at 524.00.
– ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML): up 0.48% or 3.00 points to 630.30 in late trade.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session were:
– Akzo Nobel NV (AS:AKZO): fell 4.89% or 2.90 points to trade at 56.38 at the close.
– ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT): declined 4.63% or 1.10 points to end at 22.66.
– IMCD NV (AS:IMCD): down 4.22% or 6.50 points to 147.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 80 to 23, with 8 ending unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, remained unchanged at 21.09.
Commodity Prices
- Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.43% or 0.29 to $68.33 a barrel.
- Brent oil for January rose 0.39% or 0.28 to hit $72.11 a barrel.
- December Gold Futures contract fell 0.66% or 17.25 to trade at $2,600.45 a troy ounce.
Currency Exchange Rates
- EUR/USD was down 0.55% to 1.06.
- EUR/GBP rose 0.60% to 0.83.
- The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.60% at 106.09.
