Elon Musk Joins Call with Trump and Zelenskiy
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Elon Musk participated in a congratulatory call between President-elect Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on Wednesday, according to media reports.
During the 25-minute call, Trump assured Zelenskiy of his support for Ukraine, although he did not provide specific details. Musk affirmed his commitment to assist Ukraine through his Starlink satellites, as reported by Axios, citing unnamed sources.
This call comes as Trump is in the process of selecting his top advisers and cabinet members. Trump has indicated he may offer Tesla CEO Musk, the world’s richest man, a position in his administration focused on promoting government efficiency. Zelenskiy was among the first leaders to congratulate Trump, who has been critical of U.S. military and financial support for Ukraine in its ongoing conflict with Russia.
