Moroccan Stock Market Update

Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Insurance, Holding Companies, and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 1.24%.

Best Performers

The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were:
– Societe Equipement Domestique et Menager SA (CSE:EQD): rose 8.06% or 87.00 points to trade at 1,167.00.
– Cartier Saada (CSE:CRS): added 5.71% or 2.00 points to end at 37.00.
– AFMA SA (CSE:AFM): was up 1.98% or 23.00 points to 1,184.00 in late trade.

Worst Performers

The worst performers of the session were:
– Total Maroc SA (CSE:TMA): fell 6.18% or 105.00 points to trade at 1,595.00.
– Micro Data SA (CSE:MIC): declined 4.83% or 32.00 points to end at 630.00.
– Akdital SA (CSE:AKT): was down 4.68% or 49.00 points to 999.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 39 to 11, and 6 ended unchanged.

Commodities Update

Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.40% or 0.98 to $70.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading:
– Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.32% or 0.97 to hit $74.53 a barrel.
– Gold Futures for December fell 0.93% or 25.00 to trade at $2,665.30 a troy ounce.

Currency Market

• EUR/MAD was down 0.26% to 10.79.
• USD/MAD fell 0.06% to 9.75.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 101.39.
