Morocco Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Beverage, Telecoms, and Forestry & Paper sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.01%.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were:
– IB Maroc Com SA (CSE:IBC): rose 9.97% or 3.86 points to trade at 42.56 at the close.
– M2M Group (CSE:M2M): added 5.98% or 30.50 points to end at 540.50.
– Salafin (CSE:SLF): up 5.98% or 31.10 points to 551.10 in late trade.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session were:
– Ste de Travaux de Realisation d’Ouvrages et de Constuction Industielle SA (CSE:STR): fell 9.98% or 6.19 points to trade at 55.81.
– Residences Dar Saada SA (CSE:RDS): declined 9.93% or 8.40 points to end at 76.20.
– S2M (CSE:S2M): down 9.31% or 25.50 points to 248.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 32 to 29 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in IB Maroc Com SA (CSE:IBC) rose to 52-week highs, gaining 9.97% or 3.86 to 42.56.
Commodities Update
Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.67% or 2.03 to $73.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading:
– Brent oil for delivery in November fell 2.18% or 1.72 to hit $77.10 a barrel.
– December Gold Futures contract fell 0.88% or 22.60 to trade at $2,537.70 a troy ounce.
Currency Exchange Rates
- EUR/MAD was unchanged 0.05% to 10.77.
- USD/MAD rose 0.10% to 9.72.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 101.49.
