Morocco Stock Market Update

Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Forestry & Paper, Insurance, and Banking sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.04%.

Best Performers

The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were:
Jet Contractors (CSE:JET): rose 3.47% or 28.10 points to trade at 837.00 at the close.
S2M (CSE:S2M): added 2.71% or 6.50 points to end at 246.50.
Ste de Travaux de Realisation d’Ouvrages et de Constuction Industielle SA (CSE:STR): up 2.31% or 1.20 points to 53.20 in late trade.

Worst Performers

The worst performers of the session were:
Nationale d’Electrolyse et de Petrochimie Ste SA (CSE:SNP): fell 2.31% or 11.60 points to trade at 490.10.
IB Maroc Com SA (CSE:IBC): declined 2.06% or 0.84 points to end at 39.94.
Miniere Touissit (CSE:CMT): down 2.06% or 35.00 points to 1,665.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 24 to 20, with 7 ending unchanged.

Shares in Jet Contractors (CSE:JET) rose to all-time highs, gaining 3.47% or 28.10 to 837.00.

Commodity Prices

  • Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.42% or 0.98 to $68.17 a barrel.
  • Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.39% or 1.01 to hit $71.68 a barrel.
  • December Gold Futures contract fell 0.20% or 5.15 to trade at $2,537.95 a troy ounce.

Currency Exchange Rates

  • EUR/MAD was down 0.20% to 10.78.
  • USD/MAD fell 0.28% to 9.71.
  • The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 101.16.
